Formation
The Thirty-ninth Marik Militia was one of a dozen regiments of the Marik Militia to be raised in the period between the eruption of the Amaris Civil War in 2765[1] and the onset of the First Succession War in 2786. The Thirty-ninth was stationed on Tiber in 2786.[2]
First Succession War
The Thirty-ninth was one of the regiments of the Marik Militia that took part in Captain-General Kenyon Marik's famous "path to Sarna" offensive in the opening stages of the First Succession War. Operating alongside the Fortieth Marik Militia, the Thirty-ninth landed on Old Kentucky during the third wave of the campaign in May 2787, acting as the initial landing party of what was planned to be a large-scale invasion. Intelligence reports indicated that the Eighth Liao Lancers were in place as the local garrison, but the Thirty-ninth and Fortieth discovered that all the major military bases on the planet had been emptied, and that their only opponents consisted of small, conventional security forces.[3]
Second Succession War
By 2830 the Thirty-ninth had been rebuilt and were still stationed on Old Kentucky. They were still on planet at the end of the Second Succession War in 2864. [4]

Rules
First Succession War
- As a Marik Militia regiment the Thirty-ninth receives no modifiers to die rolls when generating forces on RAT tables during the First Succession War.[5]
