The 425th Planetary Defense Brigade is the defending forces of Cavanaugh II.[1]

During the middle years between the Third Succession War and the Fourth Succession War, the 425th Planetary Defense Brigade was assigned the defense of Cavanaugh II along with 187th Infantry Regiment and several other 'Mech units. They were lucky to repulse the Rolling Thunder when the unit tried to raid the planet. Unbeknownst to Rolling Thunder, a Lyran spy had shared the Marik plans of invasion and they faced stronger opposition than expected.
