Operation REVIVAL[edit]
The 449th Assault fought on the following worlds during the invasion of the Inner Sphere:
Wave Five[edit]
While ultimately successful in taking the world, the 449th suffered a great loss of honor at the battle of Teniente. Facing the 3rd and 11th Pesht Regulars in January 3052, the unit was unable to prevent Hohiro Kurita, heir to the Draconis Combine from escaping off-world.[2]

Second Star League[edit]
In August 3061, while garrisoning Avon alongside the Fourth Pesht Regulars, the 449th initiated a series of duels with the Combine unit that escalated into clashes. This incident led to the creation of the Irece Prefecture and Khan Santin West placing the unit under reprimand.[2]
The Jihad[edit]
Alpha Galaxy saw action on a number of worlds during the Jihad, including fighting on Luthien, Wasat, Acubens, Stewart, Kalidasa, Dubhe and Graham IV, as well as supporting the attack on Mars. By the end of the Jihad the 449th was no longer listed as an active Cluster,[1] indicating that the 449th had either been disbanded or destroyed.

- - At this time the 449th was stationed on Labrea alongside a sister Cluster from Alpha Galaxy, the 489th Assault Cluster and was operating at just below four-fifths of full strength. The 449th was predominantly, but not exclusively, equipped with Clan-technology OmniMechs at this time.[4]
