History
The 452nd Garrison Binary was the Clan Jade Falcon garrison unit assigned to defend the planet Somerset when Clan Ice Hellion launched an invasion of the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone in 3071, dubbed Operation ICE STORM. At the time of the invasion the 452nd was commanded by Star Captain Greta Hazen, a veteran of Operation REVIVAL and the Battle of Tukayyid, and she considered it her final posting, one step up from a solahma unit.[1]
The Ice Hellions dispatched a Cluster of troops to seize Somerset, but the Trial of Possession was actually fought between Greta's Binary and a Binary of Ice Hellion warriors commanded by Star Commander Julius on the 13th of June 3071. The chosen site for the battle was the area known as Grady Plateau.[1]

- Only two of the 'Mechs within the 452nd Garrison Binary are identified in Operation ICE STORM Part One: The Frost Advances; Star Captain Hazen piloted a Hellbringer, while a MechWarrior named Harald piloted a "twice-rebuilt" Conjurer.[1]
