Overview

The Fifth Hussar Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.

History

In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XXIV Corps, Fifth Army, to District 1 within the Capellan Confederation Military Region, and transferred to District 2 during the Periphery Uprising.[1] The Fifth survived the war, to be absorbed by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns[1] in 2784.[2] The Armed Forces of the Federated Suns redesignated the Fifth the Second Avalon Borderers, expanding the Avalon Borderers brigade using the 2004th and two other former SLDF regiments.[2]

Composition

As an SLDF Hussar regiment the Fifth would have been composed primarily of medium to heavy 'Mechs, tanks and hovercraft.[3]
