History

Founding

The Seventh Dieron Regulars were one of thirty-one regiments of Dieron Regulars to be created by the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery after 2765.[1] The Dieron Regulars expanded by ten regiments during the Amaris Civil War,[2] and a further twenty-one regiments were raised between the end of the Civil War and the end of the First Succession War. The Seventh was one of the ten regiments created between 2765 and the end of the Civil War in 2779.[2]

Second Succession War

During the Second Succession War the Seventh served in the DCMS attack on Thorin in 2840, as part of Yoguchi Kurita's broader offensive against the Lyran Commonwealth. Its air units contributed to the invasion's early success before the planet's stormy weather hampered both air and ground operations; after three weeks of slugging it out with the Lyran defenders, the Seventh retreated off-world.[3][3]

At some point prior to the war's end, the Seventh was destroyed and removed from the DCMS' active rolls.[4]
