The Eighty-fifth Light Horse Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
Sometime in the final years of the Star League before 2764, the unit was assigned to LXI Corps, Twelfth Army as a part of the Second Regimental Combat Team.[1]
The Second RCT was sent to Detroit to investigate rumors of weapon stockpiles, where they were was completely unprepared to face a full division of Taurian rebels. The Eighty-fifth Light Horse was destroyed by a nuclear strike during the fighting.[1]

Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Light Horse regiment, the Eighty-fifth would have been composed of light to medium vehicles, with at least two recon companies comprising BattleMechs and vehicles designed for information gathering, as well as other regular 'Mechs.[2]
