Aegis Division were a mercenary unit operating during the Word of Blake Jihad.

History

Aegis Division were a small but tenacious mercenary unit, noted to be active as far back as the final decades of the Third Succession War. The unit would largely serve in minor secondary roles, fighting on the fringes of conflicts as diverse as the Aurigan Crisis and Operation GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG. Eventually then-unit commander Charles Edward Maxwell signed on with Interstellar Expeditions under long-term contract in the Periphery, a precipitous decision that ensured the Aegis Division avoided the maelstrom of the Jihad, returning to an almost unrecognizable Inner Sphere.
