The Amber Grove system is the location of at least one inhabited world, and as at 3145 was located in the June Operation Area of the Periphery March within the Federated Suns.[1][2]

System Description

The Amber Grove system is located near the Centavido and Hyalite systems.[3][4]

System History

The Amber Grove system was settled during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War, and for much of its history was a part of the Taurian Concordat.[5][3][6][7][8]

Star League

In the years prior to the Periphery Uprising, Amber Grove had the lowest number of attacks against Star League facilities and personnel in the LXV Corps (Star League) operating area. Many saw this as an opportunity to deploy the SLDF forces onworld to more rebellious worlds. However, the commanding officer of the 177th Mechanized Infantry Division considered the quiet populace as a ruse encourage the garrison to leave so the world could erupt into rebellion.[40]

The Jihad

On the 15th of April 3075 Amber Grove was attacked by the mercenary unit Hansen's Roughriders as part of a Federated Suns counteroffensive following two invasions of the Federated Suns by the Taurian Concordat. The Roughriders attacked using both nuclear and non-nuclear weapons seized earlier in 3075 during the battle for Hyalite, and obliterated the local militia as well as Amber Grove's central military headquarters and spaceport facilities. The Roughriders then spent several weeks on Amber Grove destroying any target of significant military or industrial value.[41][42]
