Captain Amy Laskowski was an officer in Alpha Regiment of Wolf's Dragoons until 3029.[1]

Personal Characteristics[edit]

Laskowski's behavior towards superior officers was often considered to be bordering on insubordination, and she enjoyed baiting her commander, Major Patrick Chan. However, there was shared respect between Laskowski and Chan, and she never hesitated to follow orders when it counted.[1]

History[edit]

Hesperus II[edit]

Laskowski, already a captain in command of Laskowski's Company of Baker Battalion, participated in the Dragoons' deep penetration raid on Hesperus II in 3019 while under Marik employ[2]

At that time, she was described as having long blond hair, which she kept in a tight ponytail. During this campaign she had a casual romantic relationship with fellow Alpha Regiment Captain Lucas Kenner.[3]

Barlow's End[edit]

In September 3026, while the Dragoons under contract with the Draconis Combine, Laskowski participated in the Dragoons' raid on Barlow's End together with the Ryuken with the aim of capturing an experimental prototype weapon being developed at the Achernar Proving Grounds.

Baker Battalion took heavy casualties during this raid, including during a retreat under fire from the Eridani Light Horse, during which Captain Laskowski's 'Mech went down with a damaged leg. She was abandoned by the remains of her unit under Dechan Fraser on the basis the Horseman would ransom her back to the Dragoons following her capture, and she was in fact returned subsequently as part of a prisoner exchange.[1][4][5]

Misery[edit]

Laskowski also fought in the Battle of Misery in 3028, during which her 'Mech was damaged beyond repair.[1]

Glenmora[edit]

After surviving Misery, Laskowski became the commander of the Fire Lance in Alpha Regiment's Fifth Provisional Company, a reduction in responsibility she was upset with. However due to her respect for Major Chan, she kept her feelings quiet, and acted if she needed to prove herself again.

While no one had ever questioned her ability or leadership, her lance held its position on Glenmora during the fighting there against overwhelming odds and better judgment, and died as the entire lance was wiped out.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

Laskowski was known to initially pilot a CRD-3L Crusader (i.e. Crusader-L) BattleMech, which was damaged beyond repair on Misery, and then a Whitworth until her death on Glenmora.[1]
