The younger son of Aleksandr Kerensky, Andrey, while excellent at martial skills, was a weak, emotional man, always not very far from tears, and seen by his elder brother Nicholas almost as a disgrace. Andrey criticized his elder brother's ambitions, accusing him to construct a personality cult, and often served as a lightning rod to Nicholas' tempers. He was later a warrior of Clan Wolf but stayed a close friend of the Wolverine Clan Khan, Sarah McEvedy. He also maintained a love relationship with the Clan Coyote Khan Dana Kufahl, his former cadet. This relationship was particularly strained after she readily followed Nicholas Kerensky and his vision of the Clans.

Andrey Kerensky was killed in the final fight of the Operation Klondike on the planet Eden, being ambushed by five BattleMechs. The death of his brother inspired Nicholas Kerensky to introduce the rule of one-to-one combat to the Clans.

The genetics of Andrey were later combined with the genetics of Dana Kufahl to recognize their relationship. They were provided to Clan Coyote.

Andrey was the inspiration for many Clan rituals. The word "aff" was a habit of Andrey, picked up by class in the Academy on Eden, the Trial of Position has its roots in Andrey's bet with four of his cadets and the subsequent simulated fight against four of them, Surkai was the last name of a Prinz Eugen officer Andrey had to execute after the mutiny.
