The Angell system is the location of at least one inhabited world, Angell II, and as at 3145 was located in the Clan Protectorate province of the Free Worlds League.[3][4]

System Description

The Angell system is located near the Grobin and Sarkel systems[5] and consists of a class G5V orbited by at least two planets with a recharge station in place at the zenith jump point.[2]

System History

The Angell system was settled in the twenty-third century by explorers from the Marik Commonwealth.[2]

Angel II

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Angel II is the second planet in the Angell system and is home to a number of industrial facilities belonging to companies such as Irian BattleMechs Unlimited.[2]

Planetary History

Settled in the 23rd century by explorers from the Marik Commonwealth to access radium and cesium,[2] Angel II is a world with a stark social structure. The water supplies on Angell II are tainted with a chemical called citrium, which is poisonous in large doses. As a result the population has always been reliant on technology, iceships, and fresh water shipments. This is reflected in the society: Those who own water purification technology are on top, while those who are dependent on it are at the bottom. The Succession Wars opened the gap even more as technology was destroyed. This gap was illustrated in 3019 when House Steiner launched a raid and the lower classes fought with the invaders against the planetary government.[1]
