The Dark Age[edit]
Anton's Stompers is a mercenary unit whose origins are unknown that during the Dark Age was operating out of Fletcher. The unit had added a company of SM2s to its artillery battalion, giving them a fast-reaction force to support its older generation Long Tom batteries.
The Stompers participated on a Capellan-sponsored raid of Sonnia in 3136. The SM2s proved invaluable as they conducted a slow-paced move-and-fire operation around the main starport. The constant barrage kept the inexperienced Davion militia from intercepting the Seventh Capellan Chargers as they destroyed a large stockpile of munitions and equipment believed designated for Tikonov, though it was later discovered the warehouses destroyed were filled with medicines and foodstuffs earmarked for Basalt.
Anton's Stompers know how to make the best use of this otherwise average support tank.[1]
