Formerly known as the Himmels system, the Baltazar III system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 3145 was an independent system in the Periphery close to the borders of the Free Worlds League, Lyran Commonwealth and Marian Hegemony.[1][2]

System Description

The Baltazar III system is located near the Andiron (Helbrent) and Choex systems.[3][4]

System History

The Himmels system was either colonised by the Rim Worlds Republic during the Star League era or was an already-settled system that became significant enough during this era for Inner Sphere nations to record its location on maps. As Himmels, the system was a part of the Erdvynn Province of the Republic.[5][6][3][4]

During the Third Succession War the name of the Himmels system was changed to Baltazar III, and the system became a part of the quasi-legitimate bandit kingdom known as the Circinus Federation; several other former Republic systems were also incorporated into the Federation under new names, including Iolas (as Diedre's Den) and Green Stone (as Clayborne), although the capital of the Federation, Circinus, kept it's Republic-era name.[7][8]

Notes

It was confirmed that Himmels and Baltazar III were one and the same by the Catalyst Game Labs writing staff.
