I am researching information on Galaxy Commander Laurie Tseng, Loremaster of Clan Ghost Bear. This character is mentioned many times but the only information i can find is name, rank, position, and command. I see there is no article on the "Green Ghosts". I do know there isn't much information on them, and that indeed they are "cannon rumor" I think they call it. Does anybody have enough knowledge on them to prepare an article?
I am doing a game and I need clarification.
1.) They said Ilkhan Showers died in the novels prior to Tukayyid. But just got a copy, thank you, of the DES sourcebook and it sounds like his death was not only after Tukayyid, but just before Smoke Jaguars home world was destroyed. The sourcebook lists he was killed by a damaged aerofighter taking Isorla...

- I know, right. Not the only one who double checked that, or the listing where Jaime Wolf committed suicide with a pistol on Pentagon and also died in his bed on Outreach. There was two different dates as well for the WOB invasion on Outreach. I've read Novels where Jaime Wolf lived until Victor stepped foot on Pentagon.
No one has said anything about the unit that went from NAIS to Helm just after GDL left. I know they were sent, they talked about how NAIS (Which at the time was NASTI-U) How professors in technology got dissertations in Star League tech. Which became a stepping stone for NAIS to be able to offer Powered Armor, even advanced sciences by 3050.
- Was I the only one who did that. I know it was talked about in some cons. With 3 different companies owning the francize it is getting hard to keep track of the changes. Weapons changed, modifications changed. Rules changed. LAM couldn't be Endo and XL, now they can. There is two different dates for introduction (Spheroid) for the Light PPPC. Some say 3067... some say 2660...
Which rule book am I supposed to use? I have Maximum Tech (FASA) and the new CBT Techmanual (Catalyst), even a booklet from Whizkids
My favorite is when the lords of the Sphere are brought into a planet and mercs from a dozen well known units, all thought deceased informed them the Sphere was to be rebuilt, that the Marik-Steiner-Liao and the Steiner-Davion, and the... read it so long it is falling apart. Had to buy a second 'Price of Glory' as well. Got a 1st Edition and a 3rd. Third's graphics suck. - Is there any information in the published canon about the Free Worlds League based "pressure group" BlakeWatch beyond what's to be found in the paragraph describing them at p. 120 of Handbook: House Marik (FanPro 35019)? HyperionCormyr (talk)I just put together a listing of all the FWL Mech producers and the planets they manufacture on. Not sure that will help or not. *Related note- Scarborough Manufacturing in the Capellan Confederation has one listed manufacturing facility, and it's in the Draconis Combine...
- I'm having trouble verifying your comment from the detail you've given - can you clarify where Scarborough Manufacturing is described or listed as a Capellan Confederation-based company please? - Sure. The page for the Capellan planet "Scarborough" [1] lists as the only manufacturing center on planet is "Scarborough Limited"[2]. Following that hyperlink leads me to the Scarborough Limited page , where the only manufacturing planet is listed as Al Na'ir[3], which is a planet in the Draconis Combine.HyperionCormyr (talk)
- Ah, I see. I did a little investigating into the history of the Scarborough article, and it looks as if Scarborough Limited was added to the article as a manufacturing center by some kind of auto-generation routine run by Nic when he first set up the planet articles on the wiki back in 2006. From what I know of the process (it was well before my time) it drew heavily on the data recorded and used by one of the fan-based Inner Sphere cartography sites, and over the years, a fair number of errors in that original data have been picked up and fixed as they're found. I noticed that the Scarborough Limited entry in the Scarborough article didn't have a citation next to it - that's often a sign that something needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Thanks for flagging the error up - I've stripped the mention of Scarborough Limited out of the article as it's clearly not a presence on the Capellan world, and never has been. - And who's to say that all three didn't/don't exist as separate entities? After all, we are talking about several trillion plus people spread out over vast interstellar distances. - Is the Summoner_(Thor) indeed the tallest ever built 'Mech? If yes, how tall is it actually, resp. where can I find this information? If no, which 'Mech instead can be considered the tallest? (The Battlemaster by chance as mentioned in the old TRO 3025?)
- Unfortunately, I don't think you're going to get a definitive answer. Unlike weight, the height of 'Mechs isn't something consistently recorded or reported anywhere in canon. The best answer I can give you is that the general convention is that the heavier the weight of a 'Mech, the larger that 'Mech is (the third Gray Death Legion references Star League 'Mechs in storage, with smaller, lighter 'Mechs on the outside of a square or block, and 'Mechs getting larger and heavier closer to the center of the formation, with Assault 'Mechs towering over the others in the middle of the formation). On that basis, the largest 'Mech is probably one of the Superheavy BattleMechs introduced in the Dark Age and late Jihad. - I'm doing a Mechwarrior campaign set in the Outworlds Wastes. Currently the players are on the planet Tanz, which I had chosen because it was left as a blank slate (so far).
