Bianca Haller was a mid-thirty-second century ComStar scientist and technician.

History[edit]

Bianca Haller was from a family which had been part of ComStar for several generations. At least some of her parents joined Malcolm Buhl's Blessed Order, but she stayed loyal to the Republic. After the Order's annihilation, she joined Project Sunlight, which investigated the Blackout's causes, it is said than in part, to redeem herself by the Order's acts.[1]

In an unknown date prior to 3150, she was destined at Northwind, studying the local HPG, the only one which had reactivated itself alone. His team researched for at least three full months, but without uncovering nothing. On the planet she meet the young lieutenant Declan Casey, and both soon became good friends.[2] The 13 November 3150, she went to Plunkett's Tavern, where found Declan. She sit with him, and they talked about the imminent threat of battle coming to Northwind. She had been very busy lately, with her research and their work to protect their data. Declan made what he could to calm her, and asked her about how someone could send messages in secret through the HPG, becuase he was searching for a traitor.[3]

The 23 November, Bianca was on the compound, working alongside her roommate Nicole Kates. Bianca felt herself trapped into the building, and was enraged when Nicole said she was willing to see her Mechwarrior, which must be Declan. Then, a truck entered the complex. Bianca suspected something, and ordered Nicole to go away. Her fears were justified, as inside the truck, a group of Capellan Ying Long battlesuits emerged, attacking the complex. She assisted to a futile attempt to a Hastatis Firestarter to defend the complex, before the HPG's head of security ordered her to go inside. Bianca ordered the technicians to activate emergency protocols, hiding their files, before goin to their quarters. While she fled, a Capellan armored soldier attempted to kill her, but was killed before by an unknown Republic defender.[4]

3 days later, the Fourth MAC commander, Lindsey Baxter, ordered a blonde technician to send a HPG message, which she did. She appears to be Bianca.[5]

The 5 December, Bianca had managed to leave the compound, and went to Plunkett's, searching for Declan, leaving him a key message with useful information about the capellans.[6]

The 8 December, Lindsey talked with Bianca about the Kuritans arrival on system.[7]

A day later, a Highlanders' counterattack reached the Complex, and during the fight, the HPG was blown, and Bianca injured. She was taken care in Tara's General Hospital, where Declan visited her a day after. He informed her about the Kuritans and Capellans' retreat and the HPG's destruction. She wasn't very worried about that, saying than most of it was underground, and it could be rebuilt. After telling her than most of the Highlanders' forces were on the way to Terra, he pointed than she was one of his people, and than Northwind takes care of his own.[8]

Only later it was know than Bianca's wounds had been made, with her approval, by Ghost Knight Maxwell Cheng, though she was furious for the HPG's destruction.[9]

Relationships[edit]

Bianca's best known friend was Declan Casey. Both were very near, though their relationship hadn't evolved beyond that.[10]
