The Bithinia system was home to at least one habitable world, Bithinia II, and as of 3145 was located in the Capellan Commonality province of the Capellan Confederation.[3][4]

System Description

The Bithinia system was located near the Eom and Propus systems[3][4] and consists of a class F7V orbited by at least two planets, and during the thirty-first century a recharge station was in place at the nadir jump point.[1][2]

System History

Bithinia was settled during or shortly after the First Exodus from Terra and joined or was incorporated into the Capellan Commonality prior to the formation of the Capellan Confederation.[5]

Bithinia II

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Bithinia II - more commonly known simply as Bithinia - is the second planet in the Bithinia system and has three moons named Littorina, Paludina and Valvata.[1][2]

Planetary History

Bithinia was best known for it's tourist resorts catering to the richest citizens of the Capellan Confederation as well as to foreigners. Resorts were connected by extensive network of MagLev trains. The portion of the 2.3 billion-strong population which wasn't involved in the entertainment industry were largely involved in iron mining, making Bithinia one of most important steel suppliers for the Confederation.[1]

During the Star League era Bithinia became associated with the Third Capellan Chargers, a regiment within the Capellan Chargers brigade, who earned the nickname the "Bithinian Stratiotai".[6]

A Duchy RTC was located on Bithinia in 3079. It trained vehicle crews and conventional infantry.[7]
