Blaze of Glory is a short story that was published as introductory fiction for the Clan Smoke Jaguar Campaign in BattleTech: Battle of Tukayyid.
Plot Summary[edit]
The story follows saKhan Sarah Weaver of Clan Smoke Jaguar as she leads her forces through the treacherous swamps of the Racice Delta on Tukayyid. The Jaguars, emboldened by early successes against the Com Guards, press deeper into the hostile terrain. Weaver, a staunch Crusader and fierce believer in Clan superiority, faces mounting resistance from the Com Guards, which are employing unconventional tactics, including artillery and ambushes.
As the battle intensifies, Weaver's Warhawk suffers critical damage under relentless enemy fire. Refusing to retreat by order of Khan Lincoln Osis, she commands her forces to advance while making a final stand. Ultimately, her ’Mech is destroyed in a missile strike, killing her and marking the beginning of the Jaguar’s unraveling in the pivotal Battle of Tukayyid.
