Bone-Norman
System Information
X:Y Coordinates-185.36:424.92[e]

The Bone-Norman system was home to at least one habitable world and as at 3145 was located in the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone.[1][2]

System Description

The Bone-Norman system is located near the Erewhon and Renren systems.[3]

System History

The Bone-Norman system was either settled by the Rim Worlds Republic at some point during the Star League era or was an already-settled system that became significant enough during this era for Inner Sphere nations to record its location on maps.[4][5][3]

Political Affiliation

Planetary History

Bone-Norman was a part of the Apollo Province of the Rim Worlds Republic and was conquered by the Lyran Commonwealth during the 2773-2775 Republic-Commonwealth War.[8]

Succession Wars Era

The Draconis Combine sent a group of unmarked 'Mechs across the border in August of 2785 to attack Bone-Norman. This had the desired effect of causing the Lyran forces to react by sending troops towards the Periphery to thwart a threat that did not exist. This allowed the DCMS to take the worlds of Trolloc Prime and Gram.[9] The raiders that struck Bone-Norman had swiftly wiped out the paramilitary militia in place on the world before rampaging through a number of cities including Red Stone, the planetary capital; some cities were plundered for supplies - both military and industrial - while others were set on fire.[33]

Clan Invasion

In March of 3050 Bone-Norman was targeted by Clan Jade Falcon forces as a part of their invasion of the Inner Sphere, Operation REVIVAL. The world was hit during the Jade Falcon's first wave of attacks. Defending the planet was the First Regiment of the mercenary group known as the Grave Walkers. The FedCom's new early warning satellite network notified the Grave Walker's commander, Colonel Dennis Merwin, of the Jade Falcons' approach. Feeling it would be the best way to weaken the enemy, Merwin dispatched Aerospace Fighter forces which concentrated on BattleMech forces being dropped on top of Red Stone Palace. The initial attacks by the aerospace forces and the mercenaries was able fight off the invaders; however, reinforcements were dispatched by the Jade Falcons, sealing the planet's fate. Colonel Merwin warned the Bone-Norman planetary militia of the escalating situation, which sent them into hiding; this lead to years of guerrila warfare on the planet.[34]

Jihad

Clan Ice Hellion launched an invasion of the Clan Jade Falcon holdings in the Inner Sphere in mid-3071, with Bone-Norman targetted in the early stages of the attack; however, by July the Ice Hellion invasion had bogged down, with Bone-Norman being one of the worlds still seeing heavy fighting between Ice Hellion and Jade Falcon forces.[26]
