Broll Wolf was a MechWarrior and Combat vehicle commander, who served with the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces, Steel Wolves and Wolf Hunters, during the Dark Age Era.[1][2]

Personal Appearance[edit]

Broll had black eyes and black hair.[1]

History[edit]

Capellan Confederation[edit]

A native of the Capellan Confederation, Broll served as a MechWarrior in the CCAF, before trying to defect with his 'Mech to the Republic of the Sphere. Intending to trade his 'Mech for Republic citizenship and land, it was reclaimed by Capellan authorities before Broll could get it across the border, leaving Broll Dispossessed.[1]

Steel Wolves[edit]

Managing to avoid capture himself, Broll arrived at a Republic world with a Clan Wolf enclave, and sought admittance to the Clan in order to revive his fortunes. Failing his Trial to gain warrior status, his drive was enough to encourage the Wolves to accept him as a bondsman. On the formation of the Steel Wolves' Wolf Lancers unit, which was built around Abtakha warriors such as Broll, Broll's test performance was not good enough to receive a MechWarrior's slot. He was therefore assigned to be a tank commander instead.[1]

Wolf Hunters[edit]

Broll was one of the Steel Wolves who continued to follow Anastasia Kerensky, when she converted the Steel Wolves into the Wolf Hunters mercenary unit, and was with her on Phecda in December 3135. During the defense of that world by the Wolf Hunters against invading Shiloh Alliance forces under the command of Thaddeus Marik, Broll formed part of a combined arms ambush team together with a MechWarrior Ivocet Wolf, who successfully destroyed a Shiloh Nightstar in a residential district on the northwest fringe of Atlantic Coast.[2]

BattleMech[edit]

With the Capellan Confederation, Broll was known to have piloted a Sha Yu BattleMech.[2] With the Steel Wolves and Wolf Hunters, Broll commanded a JES III Missile Carrier with the serial number ROS0011-412, which he nicknamed "MechBane". Using missiles intended for use against heavy armor, Broll had the two gunners in his Republic of the Sphere built tank focus fire as much as possible.[1]

Notes[edit]

  • Broll's name is misspelt as Broil in the Wolf Hunters novel.
