Theron spent his early life traveling, but by the time he was nearly 30 years old he was considering settling down and seeking a more predicable paycheck in a reputable military organization. To facilitate this he joined a military academy, the Irian Academy of Combative Science on Irian, in order to improve his formal training before deciding on his preferred employment.[1][2]
He experienced nearly a year of training at this academy in 3135 and 3136, under instructor Sergeant Stan Severo, during which he was in the top 5% of his class.
On 12 January 3136, he graduated the course with a live-fire engagement trial against Severo, which he passed with both 'Mechs assessed as disabled.[2]
BattleMech[edit]
Theron was known to pilot an MAR-2C3-A Marauder IIC BattleMech named Echo 01, which was painted a dull beige. The 'Mech belonged to the Irian Academy of Combative Science.[1][2]
