Description
Produced by the Kressly Warworks of Epsilon Eridani, the Brutus started its first test runs in 2998[1] for the Capellan Confederation's High Command. The CCAF was regulated the tank to second-line militia and garrison postings despite its high successful tests. Where the tank remained unnoticed for decades. However, AFFS captured large number of these tanks during the Fourth Succession War and were impressed by its combat performance against them. Shortly after the tanks became sent to serve new AFFC frontline Regimental Combat Teams.
By 3058, the tank was among ranks of both former Federated Commonwealth armies. The Confederation had brought the design to its number of its frontline regiments from its garrisons. The tank was highly prized by Chaos March noblity at the time whom employed them for their own protection. Had been inducted into the ranks of the Word of Blake, where it spread to all its militia units by open throws of the Jihad.[2]
When the design first appeared in ranks, the tank admired for its performance. The tank only noted weakness was its armor protection was considered think for it size.
Armament & Capacities
The tank principle weaponry is its twin turreted mounted Firmir MaxiLase Heavy Lasers. To compliment the tank's long range capacities, its has the twenty-tube Delta Dart Long Range Missile Launcher mounted on turret. To compliment the Large Lasers at short ranges, the Brutus has given Six & Twin Tube Short Range Missile Launchers in front firing arc. The SRM launchers been given ton of ammunition each. While its LRM launcher has been given three tons of ammunition.
Variants
- Brutus Assault Tank (LRM Variant) - The variant replaces the both Large Lasers, with pair turreted mounted LRM 20 launchers. The Launchers been given six tons of ammunition keep the tank going in battle. The armor protection of the tank has been slightly increased as well. BV (1.0) = 845
- Brutus Assault Tank (PPC Variant) - In place of the twi Large Lasers, pair of Parti-Kill Heavy Cannons and increase in armor protection. BV (1.0) = 735
