Template:InfoBoxStateUnit The Capellan Defense Force was formed by Sun-Tzu Liao after the Fourth Succession War when the formerly secure Capellan Commonality became vulnerable to attack from the Federated Suns. Existing Capellan reserve regiments were renamed the Capellan Defense Force.
They share the common Confederation Crest and display a standard color scheme as well.

Fourth Succession War
The Defense Force performed poorly in the Liao-Marik Offensive of 3057 but redeemed itself during the St. Ives conflict where they foiled several counterattacks.
Jihad
The Capellan Defense Force was able to expand its rosters to include a third regiment shortly before the outbreak of the Jihad. Unfortunately the Third CDF was stationed on Gei-Fu, which was attacked by six AFFS units during Operation: Sovereign Justice. This destroyed the Third completely.[1]
Command Structure
Commander: Jiang-jun Dan Gun
He has command of both commands but his wish to expand his brigade is unlikely with the positioning of key units from the MAC and the Capellan Brigade.
Available Forces
The formation field some OmniMechs from the local Ceres Metal Industries plant and other new machines to. During the six month cicle which ended with an manuvers the unit have the opportunity to upgraded/repair their equipment. With the logistical network of CM the units can receive supplies in a short time period when needed. These capabilities could developed in wartimes in other commonalities too.
