Cleanup

The phrasing is a bit out of date, and will be moreso once we finishing with all the page-by-page category fixes and move this to Independent Systems. The "inhabited worlds" thing puzzles me: deprecated tag/category?--Talvin (talk) 08:08, 2 July 2022 (EDT)

Your comment (and the general process I see ongoing of converting planet categories to system categories) has piqued the following questions: What is the definition of `system' in BattleTech? on Sarna? And is that definition stated anywhere? The page Category:Systems does not include a definition. I would presume that `system' means `planetary system'. But does BattleTech and/or Sarna use the same definition? A similiar term would be a `star system', but my inkling is that we are always assuming at least one planatary body for a system in BattleTech. But is this the case? Are there any systems in BattleTech that have no planets? Anyways I am not an expert on BattleTech's in-universe stellar cartography (or cartography classifications), but getting a definition of system for the root category may be helpful.
I suspect that there are systems with one or more planets. So as one converts categories from planets to systems, one may encounter interesting divisions that made require a clearer definition of the subcategory. For instance, could a system have two independent planets? two planets allied with each other? a planet that is independent and a planet that belongs to a faction? or asteroids, moons, etc. for which control and habitation imply different nuance. I realize that I have raised many questions, but my main encouragement is that some clarification of definitions (particularly for the root categoryCategory:Systems) may be in order. --Dude RB (talk) 09:04, 2 July 2022 (EDT)
As you have correctly pointed out there, this discussion is on Category talk: Planets. My entry into this business may be seen on Dmon's talk page.--Talvin (talk) 10:10, 2 July 2022 (EDT)
Yeah, I re-posted the key questions over at Category talk: Planets. That is indeed the better place for the discussion. --Dude RB (talk) 10:20, 2 July 2022 (EDT)
Regarding "Inhabited World", I have now seen in the wild and understand what is being referred to better. Disregard that.--Talvin (talk) 14:50, 2 July 2022 (EDT)
