It may be worthwhile to define/clarify the terms.  In my mind, "Miniature Sets" would refer to any group of (two or more) miniatures that were sold as or within one product, "Lance Packs" would refer to any Miniature Set that can earnestly correspond to a lance (i.e., a set of four Inner Sphere mechs), and "Star Packs" would be any Miniature Set that can be earnestly correspond to a star (i.e., a set of five Clan mechs).  [So some of the Ral Partha packs that consisted of only four omni mechs would be neither a lance pack nor a star pack.]  And the category  "Miniatures" can be used as an umbrella for miniatures , whether considered individually or in sets.  Whether this hierarchy of subcategories and sub-subcatgories is helpful is a separate question.  But a clarification of terms may help.  Just some food for thought.  --[[User:Dude RB|Dude RB]] ([[User talk:Dude RB|talk]]) 22:38, 18 May 2021 (EDT)

Category name[edit]

I have a (slight) problem with the name, as miniature packs range from special single miniatures/figurines to lance size, star size, and yet greater packs like the ...Mechs! and ...More Mechs packs. Should we consider changing the name to something more appropriate while we still can? Frabby (talk) 03:07, 12 May 2021 (EDT)

--Dude RB (talk) 22:38, 18 May 2021 (EDT)

I have added definitions to Miniature Sets, Lance Packs, Star Packs, and Level II Packs that largely express the above, but I expanded the notion of Miniature Sets to include sets of one. It seems reasonable to classify the Clan Invasion Salvage Boxes as each being a Miniature Set so that they have a home. Also it seems fine to let Miniature Sets correspond to commercial units/products, while the a miniature (and the category "Miniatures") would correspond to the miniature as a specific component. This is my thinking at present. --Dude RB (talk) 01:03, 25 June 2021 (EDT)
