Shadow Division article titles

Can we remove "Word of Blake" from the Shadow Division article titles? I understand the need with the standard WoB divisions, but there are no other Shadow Divisions. --Scaletail 00:04, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Dmon, I'd be a little more hesitant to remove the faction name if it were a part of their canon name. However, my recollection is that the Shadow Divisions only have preceding numbers (ex: "48th Shadow Division"). We use "(Word of Blake)" to follow non-unique names (where more than one faction might use the same designation, like "3rd Air Wing (Alliance Military Corps)".--Revanche ^{(talk|contribs)} 03:23, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

I was thinking that people seeking information will be looking for but a bunch of redirects could sort it out in necessary. I am fine with the actual removal of "Word of Blake" from the article titles. --Dmon 12:33, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

You're right: re-directs go a long way to solving anything, and Ebakunin's installation of the search suggestion has been very helpful to me. Its just that the ending article (after all the re-directs) needs to match a style easily comprehensible to others, and in synch with the way all the other articles are handled.--Revanche ^{(talk|contribs)} 13:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Would it be better simplier to rename the remaining article to Xth Division (Word of Blake) or X Shadow Division (Word of Blake) to unify the documents. It looks sloppy way its listed in this category. -- Wrangler 19:09, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Per the above discussion, shadow divisons do not need the "Word of Blake" modifier. There is only one set of shadow divisions. The other article titles should conform to the existing standard, described at BattleTechWiki: Project Military Commands. --Scaletail 02:36, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Of course we're back to issue as to why they weren't moved/renamed previously once it was agreed, give the lack of detail/moratorium on sources/lack of links to them, would it be better to delete and create with correctly formatted names down the crack as required. Cyc 03:52, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

I think we should just add parenthesis to the regular / existing articles and rename Shadow Division as Scaletail has directed. We have newer folks on, like myself, whom are rapidly adding articles without direction or referring to the guidelines of project. I think should proceed and get any existing units in line before someone else comes along makes mess. -- Wrangler 11:58, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
