The Cerillos system is home to at least one habitable world, Cerillos III, and as at 3145 was located in the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey province of the Free Worlds League.[2][3]

System Description

The Cerillos system is located near the Calchedon and Galisteo systems[2][3] and consists of a class G0III primary orbited by at least three planets.[1]

System History

The Cerillos system was colonised at some point during or shortly before the Age of War.[4][5]

Cerillos III

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Cerillos II - more commonly known simply as Cerillos - is the second planet in the system and has a single moon named Blanca.[1]

Planetary History

Cerillos is one of the so-called "Southwestern Worlds", an association of three worlds in the Free Worlds League. These worlds have a unique culture descended from North American Indian and Hispanic peoples. To many outside observers, these insular and hard-working people appear quite chauvinistic, with an emphasis on machismo that is rarely encountered on other worlds. These same inhabitants place a high premium on personal honor and strength, which reinforces the sterotypes.[1]

Cerillos' location on the outer edge of League space and its mostly agrarian economy means that there isn't a great deal of money on the world. As a result, one of Cerillos' prime exports are soldiers. Joining the FWLM or a mercenary unit is an excellent way for a young Cerillosian to see the universe. The military units they join have also learned that when handled properly, Cerillosians are aggressive, skilled, and tough fighters. Camacho's Caballeros is the archetypical Cerillosian unit.[1]
