As of 3025, Colonel Chang Janewicz was the commanding officer of the Thirteenth Marik Militia.[3]
By 3050, Janewicz had risen to command of the entire Oriente Hussars brigade.[1]

Chang refused to upgrade to a heavier 'Mech during his tenure as CO of the Thirteenth, he continued to pilot his Hermes II.[3]
