Captain Charles Jager was an officer in Wolf's Dragoons.[1]

Jager was reputed to have been a forthright and thoughtful man, whose planning skills were only equaled by his luck.
As of early 3028, Jager was the commander of Jager's Company (The Hunting Tigers), Able Battalion Epsilon Regiment, including during the Battle of Misery.[1]
Following Misery, which Jager survived despite seeing too many friends die, he sought permission from Colonel Jaime Wolf to retire from service. Wolf however prevailed on Jager to stay on, but only as a member of the Dragoons' Home Guard.[1]

Jager was known to pilot a JagerMech BattleMech, which he designated "Jager One."[1]
