Charles Westerfield was a freelance mercenary MechWarrior during the Dark Age Era.[1][2]

History[edit]

Westerfield was more a businessman than MechWarrior, always looking for top dollar for his services, and never staying with any unit for long.

As a warrior, he was best known for using Death from Above attack on infantry, but the repossession of his 'Mech for gambling debts on Solaris VII was perhaps more famous. The 'Mech was sold at auction for twice his normal market price, the bidding being driven up by its legacy as one of the only 'Mechs to ever be successfully repossessed as collateral.[2] The 'Mech was also dressed up more like a recreational vehicle than a tool of war while in Westerfield's ownership, though it was perfectly maintained, due to Westerfield's obsession with cleanliness in all aspects of his life.[1]

Westerfield finally met his end in 3141, when he died during a bar fight.[2]

BattleMech[edit]

Westerfield was known to have piloted a SSP-PV-M Stalking Spider II BattleMech, nicknamed "Kumo" (Demon Spider).[1][2]
