Captain Chuck "Tucker" Oles was a MechWarrior, who served within the Bannson's Raiders' Band of Five, during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Personal Appearance[edit]

Oles had red hair and brown eyes.[1]

History[edit]

Slasher Lance[edit]

Diagnosed with schizophrenia and manic-depressive illness, Oles had multiple personalities, the dominant ones being known as Chuck and Tucker respectively. Both personalities however verged on homicidal mania during battle, resulting them fitting into the Band of Five perfectly. Skilled with a BattleMech, Jacob Bannson simply choose to overlook Oles habit of having entire conversations between his split personalities, when he selected him for military training. In battle, Chuck prefers relying on his sensors and flanking, whereas the Tucker personality favored direct short range combat and a greater use of shouting excessive profanities.[1]

As of 3133, Oles was a member of a Slasher Lance within the Band of Five, commanded by Cynthia Kelly. His other Lancemates were Federick Bo and Zeferino Smoen.[3]

Tybalt[edit]

During the Battle of Tybalt in 3133, Oles defended Jacob Bannson's headquarters on Tybalt, against an attack by elements of the Spirit Cats under Liz Nostra.[4] During Nostra's initial thrust towards the seaport city of Port Duncan on the Oberon continent, Oles tried to corner the Spirit Cats, but was quickly forced to withdraw.[2] Nostra then used ocean-going freighters launched from Port Duncan as part of an diversionary assault on Hamlet Beach, which successfully drew off Oles and his Raiders from her main attack in dense woodlands near Tybalt’s capital city of MacBeth, which again resulted in Oles retreating from the Spirit Cats.[5]

The way now open to MacBeth itself, Nostra drove for the city. While Oles was able to mount a defense of Bannson Universal Unlimited's headquarters building, the Spirit Cats assault proved to much for either Chuck or Tucker, and Oles was forced to flee off-world. This battle gave Nostra a victory over the "two-headed beast" she had seen in a vison, being Oles and his two personalities.[6]

BattleMech[edit]

Oles was known to have piloted an Mongoose II BattleMech, serial number CS354-11R, nicknamed "Rikki". This name, chosen by Chuck, was hated by Tucker. The 'Mech itself was sourced from ComStar, before joining the Republic of the Sphere with its pilot following the Word of Blake Jihad.[1][5]
