Clyde Joyce was a MechWarrior, who served with the Hastati Sentinels, during the Dark Age Era.[1]
Physical Appearance[edit]
Joyce was, as of 3132, a youthful-looking man with red hair, shinning green eyes, and freckles. His appearance caused many to consider him to be ten years younger than he really was.[1]
History[edit]
Joyce was a member of the Republic of the Sphere's elite Hastati Sentinels, commanding a Lancearii Assault Lance, which included Stavros Terk, Muoi Macellari and Post Reyes.[2] Joyce was openly contemptuous of the Republic's Knights, seeing them as arrogant and an affront to the nation's regular soldiers, especially his fellow Sentinels.
In combat, Joyce was careful to stagger fire his weapons, to ensure he avoided heat shutdowns of his 'Mech.[1]
BattleMechs[edit]
Joyce piloted a Hellstar BattleMech, serial number HH015-18A, nicknamed "Don Quixote". This 'Mech was initially part of a Clan Hell's Horses detachment, who participated in Stone's Coalition during the Word of Blake Jihad, and remained with Devlin Stone when he founded the Republic.[1]
