The Colchester system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 3145 was located in the Markesan Operational Area of the Crucis March of the Federated Suns.[1][2]

The Colchester system is located near the Lexington and Potwin systems.[1][2]
System History
The Colchester system was colonized during the First Exodus from Terra and by the end of the Age of War had been incorporated into the Federated Suns.[3][4]

Planetary History
First Succession War
Colchester was invaded during the first half of the major invasion into the Federated Suns launched by the Draconis Combine in May 2787.[10] Colchester was liberated by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns in 2810 as part of the second major AFFS counter-offensive of the First Succession War against the Draconis Combine.[11]
Third Succession War
After moving to New Valencia to assist the Wolf's Dragoons' base that was under assault by McCarron's Armored Cavalry, the Eridani Light Horse would move to Colchester in 3007. The Eridani had forced the Cavalry to abandon their assault on New Valencia without touching down on world.[15]
