History

The Aegis-class heavy cruiser Consequence was a Star League Defense Force WarShip that survived the Hegemony Campaign to liberate Terra from the forces of Stefan Amaris, and subsequently followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus.

Following the rise of the Clans and their dominance over the Pentagon worlds following the Pentagon Civil War the Consequence was one of the naval vessels incorporated into the touman of Clan Cloud Cobra. The CCS Consequence was the only WarShip assigned to Beta Galxy in 3061;[1] the Consequence was still in service with the Cloud Cobras in 3067.[2]

During the Wars of Reaving the Consequence was part of a failed Cloud Cobra military action in the Tanis system in 3073. Attempting to steal a march on forces from Clan Star Adder, Cloud Cobra Khan Steiner led Delta and Epsilon Galaxies into the Tanis system with the Consequence and three other Cloud Cobra WarShips, the Cataclysm, Second Coming and True Sight, intending to secure the planet Stacha and claim the advanced Society technology believed to be there.[3]

The Cloud Cobra naval forces found themselves facing an active Olympus defense station and the Prinz Eugen, a Texas-class battleship that the Society had recommissioned. With the Second Coming badly damaged and engaged in combat with the defense station, the Cataclysm, Consequence and True Sight were responsible for engaging the Prinz Eugen, clearing the system of Bandit Caste AeroSpace Fighters and ultimately destroying the Prinz Eugen.[3]

The Cloud Cobra ground forces assaulted several locations on the surface of Stacha, with Star Admiral Holyann Kardaan ordering the Cataclysm and the Consequence to bombard the city of Sydney as the fight turned against the Cloud Cobras. With Epsilon Galaxy destroyed and Delta Galaxy in retreat, the Consequence helped cover the retreat from Stacha and escorted the surviving forces out of the Tanis system.[3]

Surviving the battles in the Tanis system,[3] the Consequence was thrown into the fray again in October 3075. With Clan Steel Viper subject to a Trial of Annihilation, the Cloud Cobras bid very aggressively for the right to launch the first attack against the Steel Viper forces on Circe. Two naval Stars were used to assault the planetary SDS, and from those two Stars, four WarShips were lost - Consequence, Perdition's Flame, Hertzog's Staff, and True Sight.[4]
