Description
The Corean FarShot Portable LRM was developed as a means of giving infantry a weapon similar to vehicular LRMs. This is achieved by reducing the warhead size of the missile for extra propellant and firing it high into the air on a high-arching trajectory towards the target. The drawback to this, is that the missile has less destructive potential than the usual SRM carried by infantry and is more difficult to use against close targets. The FarShot was first field-tested starting in 3057 in the Chaos March before finally seeing deployment five years later. Distribution problems initially prevented its widespread use outside the Free Worlds League where it was mainly produced.[2]
