Daniel Morse was, as of 3150, a captain in the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. He commanded the Endeavor's Run.[1]

Amidst the April 3150 invasion of Emporia by rogue Draconis Combine forces, Major Anthea Hanover, commander of the JumpShip Golden Sail, was contacted by Elijah Bolton, a DropShip captain who had escaped the system. An old friend of Hanover's, his call for help directed the Golden Sail and its accompanying DropShip Endeavor's Run to the troubled planet.[2] Using a pirate point, the Golden Sail arrived in the Emporia system on 17 April.[3]
Under Morse's command, that day, the Endeavor's Run picked up a set of escape pods carrying Ritza Academy cadets. Cadet Nadine Roux had successfully led a team to destroy an enemy DropShip by crashing the civilian Lady Errant into it, a war crime. Morse directed the cadets to memorize a cover story pinning the blame entirely on the deceased captain of the Lady Errant and treating the attack as an accident.[4] Morse then served as the cadets' liaison with his commanding officer Hanover, relaying their plea for assistance.[5] Once Hanover accepted the task, Morse assisted in the defense of Emporia.[6]
