History
Deliah's Gauntlet was formed by members of the Fist of Mokal. After freeing Capolla in 3057, the beleaguered forces of the Terracap Confederation needed to put together a defensive force quickly, not only to deter attacks from other systems, but also to keep Zhanzheng de guang terrorists from spreading their violence. The Fist's Major Rocco Valdez sent Captain Deliah Finn and her lance to Capolla in the company of eight new recruits, all equipped with BattleMechs taken and repaired from the fighting on Sheratan and Terra Firma.[1]
In 3066, terrorists struck on both worlds, kidnapping Major Jeffreys, senior commander of the Fist, on Terra Firma and poisoning the barracks on Capolla, though Captain Finn escaped because she was at a One Star meeting. Later that night, when the terrorists tried to take the spaceport with a lance of light armor, they were repulsed by Captain Finn.
Broken, but not crushed, the Liaoists withdrew to regroup. Deliah desperately pleaded for relief from Terra Firma, but with Major Jeffreys' death and terrorist attacks of their own, no aid was forthcoming. With most of the locals too terrified to help, assistance came from a strange source: the One Star Faith. Though normally a pacifist organization, many of the Faith on Capolla included veteran MechWarriors and a few qualified AgroMech pilots eager to defend their home. With their support, Deliah's Gauntlet was reborn.

Deliah's Gauntlet broke away from the Fist of Mokal after that and subsequently developed strong ties to a Capolla-based branch of the One Star Faith. They were still on that world in August of 3068 when the planetary government ceded its independence to the Blake Protectorate, so did Deliah's Gauntlet contract.[2]
Four years later, the Word of Blake changed how they dealt with the Gauntlet. After training the local militia forces, the mercenaries found their movements more restricted. In 3075 rumors of WMDs turned Capolla's citizens against the Word of Blake. And Deliah's Gauntlet decided to fight the WoB. They were being shattered by the Capolla Protectorate Militia when Gannon's Cannons arrived in system and in a turn of events helped them to escapee in their drophsips[3], but their escape cost them a lance of 'Mechs.
Deliah Finn took the opportunity to conduct an interview with Cristen Gardner of the MERCNET news service, explaining their actions before and during the Jihad.
After they repaired their damage they signed on with Devlin Stone's Coalition.[4] By 3078, they were looking for new employment.[5]
