Description
The Duchy borders on the Lyran border and close to Marik-Stewart Commonwealth. The Capital of the Duchy is city of Zanzibar on Tamarind.
The nation is ruled by Duke Fontaine Marik and his wife Karli Marik until her death in 3134.
Notable Historical Events
In May of 3137, Lyran Commonwealth launched their military campaign code named Operation Hammerfall. Striking the Duchy, neigboring independant worlds and the Commonwealth at same time.
Not prepared for such event, the Duchy suffered numerous losses to Lyran invaders. Nearly cut in half by November, Trillian Steiner was sent by Archon to confront Fontaine to convince him to end the invasion. Fontaine refused, struck back at causing Trillian to go into hiding.
