Durge Zywot was a trueborn MechWarrior of the Zywot Bloodline operating during the Dark Age era.[1]
History[edit]
The product of a Pryde-Zywot gene pairing, from the crèche Durge was enthralled by the heroic stories of the so-called "Jade Phoenix" Aidan Pryde and chose to emulate his hero. Upon learning he was only eligible to compete for a Zywot Bloodname, Durge's world shattered and his performance within his sibko just barely remained above the washout point, ultimately eking out a single kill in his Trial of Position to become a warrior.[1]
Badly wounded in that Trial, requiring emergency surgery to save his leg, this would serve as a wake-up call to Durge whose warrior spirit was renewed would then excel at the controls of a Timber Wolf outfitted with Aidan's final config. When he learned of the stories that each of the newly-created Jade Phoenix OmniMechs supposedly incorporated a one-milligram grain of armor taken from the actual Timber Wolf Aidan Pryde piloted during the Battle of Tukayyid, Durge bested three challengers from his Trinary to pilot one.[1]
His passions enflamed by his Jade Phoenix, Durge would proceed to win his Bloodname, eagerly preparing to take part in Clan Jade Falcon's drive towards Terra.[1]
BattleMechs[edit]
Long striving to emulate his hero, Durge most notably would pilot a Timber Wolf outfitted to match the same fateful, final configuration Aidan Pryde used on Tukayyid. Upon the development of the Jade Phoenix, Durge would respond like many others who strove to follow in Aidan's footsteps and change his flag to the new 'Mech, choosing an OmniPod configuration that as closely matched that of Timber Wolf Pryde as possible.[1]
