Eisenjäger (short story)
Revision as of 19:56, 24 July 2024 by Tumult&Travail (talk | contribs) (One would think, but we have to go by the names we're given. "EisenJäger" shows up in canon in TROs, "EISENJÄGER" all throughout this story, and "Eisenjäger" only shows up in a title. Best capitalization in all of BattleTech.)

On Word of Blake-occupied Tharkad, the EISENJÄGER, an armor company of the Lyran resistance, hunts down its prey: Precentor Roman McKinnsey, the "Marauder of Mako Valley". Facing a lance of Blakist assault 'Mechs, the tanks are taken out one by one as they continuously bombard McKinnsey's Legacy. Finally, Sergeant Major Rolf Solomon is finally able to deliver the crucial blow when his autocannon destroys McKinnsey's cockpit, just moments before Solomon is killed himself.
