The Exedor system contains at least one habitable planet, Exedor IV, and as at 3145 was located in the remains of the Robinson Operational Area within the Draconis March of the Federated Suns.[3][4]

System Description

The Exedor system is located near the Calpaca and Haerhbin systems[5] and consists of at least four planets orbiting a class F2V primary.[1][2]

System History

The Exedor system began to be considered a significant system during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War,[6][5] but the bulk of the colonization of the planet occured during the twenty-ninth century.[1]

Exedor IV

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard Exedor IV - more commonly referred to simply as Exedor - is possessed of a toxic atmosphere, forcing the inhabitants to live predominantly underground in tunnel complexes and settlements. The fourth planet in the system, Exedor was briefly home to a military manufacturing facility.[1][2]

Planetary History

Exedor was the storage facility for the Liao family's personal treasures, which were secreted in massive underground storage areas and guarded by loyal members of the Chesterton Reserves. Originally settled in the mid-twenty-ninth century by refugees from other worlds, Exedor was also suspected of being a Maskirovka analysis center. There were also rumors that Exedor had a group of engineers making nuclear weapons in underground shelters, but these were never proven.[1]

With the turmoil of the Fourth Succession War and the Jihad, Exedor's population grew dramatically in the latter half of the thirty-first century as refugees from many Capellan worlds arrived. Overcrowding became commonplace, and most of the original inhabitants lived in underground cities. The tension between the newly-arrived refugees and the original inhabitants grew until unrest and rioting became real concerns. To counteract this, the government authorized a new building program intended to expand the existing tunnel system. This program was scheduled to run through 3100, and the employment opportunities were predicted to help the local economy while the increased space allowed more people to live on Exedor.[2]

As of 3079 Exedor also hosted a Regional Training Facility for the CCAF. Infantrymen and vehicle crewmembers were sent there to learn how to operate in hostile environments.[2]
