Galaxy Commander Fred Johansen was the commander of the Taiga Galaxy as of 3145.[1]

A freeborn Rasalhaguian, Johansen lead his Galaxy from the Kandis based First Freemen Cluster, as of 3145.[1] Wanting more action for his troops than could be found in the core of the Rasalhague Dominion, Johansen had petitioned for his unit to replace the more passive Rasalhague Galaxy on the Clan Hell's Horses border, but the Dominion Council did not support providing him with the opportunity to start a new wars with the Horses to reclaim former Rasalhagian worlds.[2]
