History
The Gacrux Skye March Militia was formed as a part of the Federated Commonwealth. This is somewhat ironic, as most of its members are retired veterans who were also members of the Brotherhood of Cincinnatus, a pro-Steiner nationalist group that opposed the FedCom Alliance.[1] The Gacrux SMM was overjoyed when the Lyran Alliance formed, but continued to push for increased combat operations against the Free Worlds League. At that time, the unit was renamed as Gacrux Freedom Theater Militia as it was assigned to a different Theater. At that time, those requests to attack Marik targets had fallen on deaf ears.
During the FedCom Civil War the Gacrux FTM remained on their homeworld.[2] However, during the Jade Falcon Incursion, the Gacrux FTM detached several battalions of troops to support the 15th Arcturan Guards.[3]
During the Jihad the Gacrux FTM lasted a mere ten minutes when they were assaulted by an entire Word of Blake Division.[4]
