Leutnant-General Gertrude McBaine was the commander of the Twelfth Lyran Guards, with the Lyran Commonwealth, as of 3145.[1][2]
History[edit]
McBaine was a Colonel in the Eleventh Lyran Guards until 3145, when her performance during the Clan Wolf invasion of the Lyran Commonwealth and support of Archon Trillian Steiner, earned her a promotion to command of the Twelfth Lyran Guards. McBaine was the first permanent CO the Twelfth had received, since the disappearance of its former commander Evander Hessan in 3141, who had been followed by a string of officers with only temporary assignments.
At the start of her tenure, McBaine and the Twelfth were based on Vindemiatrix, a world surrounded by enemies including the Wolf Empire, Clan Jade Falcon and the Galatean League.[2]
