The Great Work is a Clan Ghost Bear term for a tradition of each warrior working on a long term goal or cause. The Great Work is a ceremonial object that each warrior of the Clan creates to symbolize his or her dedication and spirit, and is displayed at the warrior’s funeral.[1] By tradition, every warrior (and many lower caste members) is expected to begin a Great Work after they have come of age, whether it be a painting, a musical composition or some other artistic work, and work on it little by little each day.[2] Notable Bloodname Houses had specific areas they worked in. Houses such as Jorgensson tended towards sculpture, Snuka did painting and drawing, Vishio also tended to lean towards painting and drawing, while Bekker did music. [3]
