Greg Murray was a military officer in the Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth and was the commanding officer of the Tikonov Martial Academy Training Group as of 3050.[1]

Leftenant General Murray, serving with the Tikonov Martial Academy Training Group, was stationed on Tikonov in 3050 and remained there by 3062.[2] A native of New Hessen, Murray understood the conflicting loyalties that tormented his cadets. Dedicated to his job and to preparing his students for service to their nation (whichever nation that may be), the continuing terrorism on Tikonov seriously interfered with Murray's sense of honor, duty, and loyalty. Unfortunately, training his cadets was all Murray could do to try and mitigate the growing unrest in the region, both inside the Academy and out.[2]
