Harris Mansfield was the commander of the 127th Mechanized Infantry Division's BattleMech brigade, within the Star League Defense Force, as of 2764.

Passed over for Division command in favor of Lieutenant General Stefan Steiner, Lieutenant General Mansfield blamed the prejudice against MechWarriors of XLII Corps CO Major General Winnie Museveni, without which he believed he would have been promoted to lead the 127th Mechanized Infantry Division.[1]
