History
Hector Alvarez - nicknamed variously as "Teco" or "Tecolete" - was one of those who served in the Seventeenth Recon Regiment, also known as Camacho's Caballeros, and was one of those on active duty with the Caballeros in 3056 when they were employed by Chandrasekhar Kurita to provide security for one of his companies, Hachiman Taro Enterprises. Hector was a Lieutenant Junior Grade at the time, piloting the only JagerMech in the Caballeros, and was a part of Bronco Company, under the command of Captain Kali "Lady K" MacDougall.[1]
On the evening of the 15th of October 3056, Hector was one of two MechWarriors stationed at the HTE headquarters compound in Masamori, the capital city of Hachiman, when the Internal Security Force made an attempt to penetrate the compound, using a terrorist attack by the Word of Blake as a cover. Hector was one of the first Caballeros 'Mechs to engage the attackers, having witnessed one of the other MechWarriors in his company, Lieutenant Junior Grade Nelson "Winger" Blackbird, take a hit to the cockpit of his Jenner that somehow took the 'Mech out of action. Hector was one of the many MechWarriors in the Caballeros to have developed a healthy sense of respect for what infantry equipped with anti-Mech weapons could do to a 'Mech, as a result of seeing Lieutenant Junior Grade Cassie Suthorn in action on numerous occasions.[1]
