Tai-sa Henrietta Margolis was the commander of the Seventh New Samarkand Regulars, with the Draconis Combine, from at least 3144 to 3145.[1][2]
History
Margolis participated in the Combine's successful conquest of the Federated Suns' world of Palmyra with the Seventh in 3144, known as the Palmyra Disaster, before moving with them to reinforce the assault on Tsamma. After further fighting in that campaign, Margolis and the Seventh were pulled back to Kesai IV, where they were located as of 3145. A strict disciplinarian, Margolis maintained close control over her Regiment, which was understrength following the heavy fighting on Palmyra and Tsamma.[1][2][3]
Awards
Margolis was a recipient of the Bushido Blade, for her stalwart actions during the conquest of Palmyra in 3144.[2] Her conspicuous gallantry during this campaign included an incident where she and her her adjutant Sho-sa Gerber Junco were separated from her Command Company in a brutal thunderstorm, and while sheltering under a rock shelf, observed a column of heavy armor from the First Federated Suns Lancers seeking the bypass the Combine's position in order to recapture the city of Sawle. Allowing the Lancer tanks which outnumbered them 3:1 to pass, Margolis and Junco then ambushed them in a narrow pass at long range using Arrow IV and PPC fire, destroying the entire column.[4][5][6]
