History

The Idle Hands were a mercenary 'Mech lance formed and led by Sigland Idleson at some point in the 3040s, after the Cash & Combat mercenary unit Idleson was previously serving with in a command position had fallen on hard times and was tethering on the brink of piracy.

By 3049 the Idle Hands were a small, agile but also desperate unit. Hired by Kelly Hunt to retrieve a data core from a Shatterdog Shipping corporation facility on Black Earth, the unit succeeded in securing the core but was subsequently mostly wiped out by enemy reinforcements on 8 July 3049. Lieutenant Idleson, piloting the Legacy Grasshopper, was the only one to get back to the DropShip; according to her own admission to herself, she had panicked and fled, and left her lancemates to die. Instead of re-forming the mercenary unit, she decided to settle down and had Hunt move her to Erewhon.[1]
